A BIT ABOUT ME
Hi I'm Meera, interior designer and blogger at First Sense Interiors. I have always been inspired by nature, colour, tactile textures and old architecture, but my academic path was more mathematical than creative. After gaining a BSc Hons in Actuarial Science, I fell into a statistical career, and when I started decorating my first home, my love for interior design was ignited. I wanted to learn more about it, so I retrained by studying around my job. After gaining qualifications with distinctions in interior design, there was no denying where my heart was, so I left my corporate career and First Sense Interiors was born.
I believe our homes are more than just physical structures: they tell the story of who we are, where we have been and where we are going. They are our sanctuaries where we can truly be ourselves and build memories, where we can enjoy simple blissful moments like coffee in pyjamas, the feeling of cosiness on a rainy day and the sense of relief when we can put our feet up at the end of a long day. I also believe that thoughtful interior design can enhance these everyday moments.
I appreciate all interior styles from traditional to contemporary, cottage to urban loft, and relish the variation that each project brings. I take pride in understanding your individual style and the elements you most care about to help you create a beautiful and practical home that is uniquely YOU. I also write a blog to share my projects, design tips and favourite finds to inspire you to create spaces that perfectly combine form and function, and bring you joy. Grab a cuppa and read the latest...
