I recently shared my plan for the open plan kitchen-dining-living room that we will be creating in our home. If you missed it, you can catch it here. As I showed on the floorplan, I’m considering a corner sofa for the sitting area. I think in the right kind of space, a corner sofa is perfect for informal living as it is great for sprawling out or having the whole family piled onto it.

Our space isn’t large, so the sofa would have to be no wider than 220cm but still fit at least 4-5 people. Most corner sofas on the market are wider than 240cm so smaller ones are not as easy to find. But I’ve been browsing all my favourite stores and have found 10 gorgeous corner/chaise sofas that fit within my requirements, so I thought I’d share them here in case someone else is also in the market for something similar. The price can vary depending on the fabric chosen so if you like any here, do check all the options and also whether you require a left or right facing corner.
My buyers’ guides are based on my favourite finds. If you buy a product through my link, I may on occasion earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This will never bias my coverage. I just love to share with you the lovely products I find!
1. IGGY, 221cm wide – Sofa.com, from £1,890
If maximising seating space in a small space is priority, then the IGGY corner sofa is very much the front runner here.
2. EARNSHAW, 212cm wide – Arlo & Jacob, from £1,700
The EARNSHAW is cute and cool, great for modern spaces.
3. BERLIN, 218cm wide – Swoon Editions, from £1,599
Lovely tufting combined with straight angles makes the BERLIN a gorgeous sofa!
4. FLORENCE, 220cm wide – Love Your Home, from £2,594
If you’re after a classic look, the FLORENCE fits the bill perfectly!
5. OSCAR, 215cm wide – Loaf, from £1,945
Have you seen a more squishy looking chaise sofa than the OSCAR??
6. TOWNSEND, 220cm wide – Habitat, from £1,895
The TOWNSEND‘s contemporary take on a classic shape makes it lovely for a relaxed vibe.
7. FERDINAND, 196cm wide – Arlo & Jacob, from £1,952
The FERDINAND is shown here as a chaise sofa, but if you prefer a corner sofa with closed sides, it is also available as a corner sofa in the same width.
8. BROOKE, 220cm wide – Maisons du Monde, £757
A gorgeous sofa at a great price, the BROOKE is shown here in lovely khaki green.
9. DALLAS, 217cm wide – Made.com, from £1,199
The angles on the DALLAS sofa make it perfect for midcentury-inspired or contemporary spaces.
10. TURIN, 211cm wide – Swoon Editions, from £1,749
Not only is the TURIN perfectly sized for small spaces, its long legs and curved arms further enhance the openness around it.
So these are my favourite small space corner/chaise sofas, shown in no particular order. I hope if you’re in the market for one, this post has given you some options to consider! If you could pick one, which one would it be?
Very timely. I’m just looking at buying one right now!
But first I need to sell my old one. It was from Nash Interiors and has served us really well.

I still feel sad that Nottingham lost Nash! They’re amazing, I hope to visit them in Derby soon. Good luck with selling your sofa, Jane. Have a look at other corner/chaise sofas too from the stores I’ve mentioned, I couldn’t fit them all into one post!
I’m just on a lookout for a corner sofa for our living room. I quite like the Oscar, sadly it is out of my price range 🙁 I found that Next Home does corner and chaise sofas in different sizes, you might want to have a look there 🙂

Oh thanks Anne Marie, I will definitely check out Next Home as I too am on a tight budget with my renovation. Let me know which sofa you go for!
This is such a great post! Our living room is only small, and is a funny shape so we can only seat 4 people, and even then it’s not easy to talk to each other. A corner sofa would solve ALL our problems! I love that Arlo and Jacob one.

So happy you like this post, Sarah! Corner sofas are great for maximising seating in a small space, that’s why we’ll be getting one for our open plan living too. Which of the two Arlo & Jacob sofas is your favourite? The Ferdinand is on my shortlist! 😍
