When I’m looking for inspiration, some images really stand out to me and stop me in my scrolling tracks. I make sure to pin them immediately before the page gets refreshed with a new set of images, thereby making the photo I loved vanish forever, and making me curse out of sheer frustration, because I really want to find that image again but can’t!! Do you know what I’m talking about? Is there a word for it… you know that 2 second time period when you see something that makes your eyes pop with joy but then the page gets refreshed and you never see it again??
Ok so I have a bit of a love-annoyance relationship with Pinterest but I absolutely couldn’t do without it. It is vital for keeping fresh ideas flowing, organising my inspirations and helping me figure out my designs, not to mention all the traffic it brings to this blog.
Anyway, today I had a little peep at my analytics and it was fun to see the inspiration that’s been grabbing you during January. These lovely rooms from my Pinterest boards are your favourites:
I pinned this after sharing it on my ‘Colour In The Kitchen‘ post and the views have gone through the roof! I can see why, it’s a stunning kitchen with a beautiful blue Lacanche – a total dream!
Oh, glorious bold colour! Farrow & Ball Hague Blue on the walls is paired with Lamp Room Gray on the built-ins and this combination makes a gorgeous backdrop for everything else in this lovely dining room.
I am very intrigued to see this kitchen getting so many impressions. The unusual yellow island seems to be really grabbing your attention!
Sage green teamed with black looks fabulous – bold and serene at the same time – and in fact I am considering this colour scheme for my bathroom(s) too. (I’ll share more in upcoming Renovation posts, so stay tuned!)
This loo may be small, but it is bold and beautiful! Farrow & Ball Hague Blue pairs beautifully with gold fittings and patterned tiles.
I shared this gorgeous little bathroom in my post about brick feature walls and it seems many of you are smitten by this look too!
Adorable room, adorable photo! The dinosaur wallpaper from Sian Zeng is a very cute backdrop to this vintage-style kid’s room.
Navy and blush remains a very popular colour combination and it’s easy to see why!
